Heartbeats. Please read this for me and retweet it so you all see this. Means alot x
I would like to share this with you. I wrote this myself and posted it on Tumblr. It’s how I feel about Jessie and what she’s about and I would just like you all to read it and remember what Jessie has taught us. Recently I have seen some horrible messages flying around, and today I have been sent some nasty comments. I am actually quite upset as I feel excluded and upset. You wouldn’t like it the other way round would you? I feel like I am not welcome in this fanbase. I would like to emphasize that ALL heartbeats are equal. No one is better than anyone and if you think thats not the case then you’re in the wrong fanbase. Secondly I would like to say that after all Jessie has shared with us, nasty comments are not what she wants and not what she needs to see. Please read this as a reminder of what were about. Thank you.
This woman is Jessica Ellen Cornish better known as Jessie J.
She is my idol.
Don’t even try and tell me this woman isn’t inspirational. Don’t even try and tell me she is not important. Don’t tell me that she isn’t beautiful and don’t you dare tell me her lyrics and her attitude towards life and her outlook on things isn’t inspirational.
When you are so low and insecure that nothing can cheer you up, you start to rely on music, and love. Its such a rare thing to be able to listen to music and feel important and to feel like someone cares. I am not saying that I have been that low and insecure about myself, but having something and someone like that to speak to you in that way definitely makes you feel better about yourself and more excepted.
She is my idol, and this is why.
I am on twitter, and I started talking to a heartbeat who’s name I won’t mention. She had tried to kill herself many times, and all she needed was for someone to tell her she was special, and that she was worth it. She started listening to Jessie. She knew it wouldn’t excuse how she felt, but after time she began learning that she was important. I told her that I cared and that I think she has a purpose. The reason she felt this way was her sexuality. She was getting bullied because of who she was. Who has the right to tell her that its right or wrong? No one has the right to make her feel that way. This is just Jessie impacting one persons life.
She is my idol, and this is why.
Jessie J is one of the biggest names in pop, and probably has one of the best voices. Not just that, she shares her message in her lyrics and inspires many many heartbeats.
She is my idol, and this is why.
She makes us feel accepted and she makes us feel important. She makes us feel safe and comfortable with ourselves. She is always honest, in her sexuality, her opinion and her attitude.
She is my idol, and this is why.
She is a positive person. She is strong, and she shares that with us. Its not very often you see an artist with so much passion for the art, and above all she does it because she loves doing it, and she loves sharing her love with her fans and the world.
She is my idol, and this is why.
She isn’t in it for the money, she is in it to inspire, captivate, be successful, to give advice and acceptance, to be looked up to and to be loved and to share her love of the world.
She is my idol, and this is why.
She visits ill children in hospital. She knows what it feels like to be alone, trapped and feel like you are never going to get better. She doesn’t demand money for it, she just wants to make others smile. She knows that her presence can make one person smile and that is something she loves to see.
She is my idol, and this is why.
She gets emotional performing her music because she bases it on her experiences. Not one of her songs doesn’t have an inner meaning or story behind it. It is needless to say she hasn’t got famous and big headed. She is just so grateful to be where she is.
She is my idol, and this is why.
Jessie is hated so much and slated for being big headed and talentless. Let me tell you something, Jessie has had 6 top ten singles and 3 number ones all from one album. Jessie holds a record for the only album to have 6 singles enter the top 10. Jessie sang not only once at the olympics, but she sang three times including a duet with Brian May. Jessie took unreal amount of slate following that performance. She was outstanding. She got hate because she covered Freddie Mercury. That is wrong. His music lives on and she was never trying to better him in any way. She was actually asked by Brian May to sing it, and she said Yes.
She is my idol, and this is why.
Why should she get hate for being talented and doing what she loves? She’s happy, she has fans who she makes happy. She wouldn’t be where she is now if she wasn’t talented. She has never for one second forgotten where it all stemmed from. She is so grateful to all the support and she gets emotional on stage because of it. Laserlight is about her fans.
She is my idol, and this is why.
Jessie regularly visits Great Ormond Street. She does this to sing to them and put a smile on their faces. One Direction have been known to demand money to go and visit sick children. “Its not about the money” couldn’t be more right. Jessie is about the fans. She is so giving, and her gratitude is endless. People don’t realise what she does for us and they need to. She is such a kind lady.
She is my idol, and this is why.
She went and sat on a girls bedside for THREE hours waiting for her to come out of a coma. She was there to greet her when she woke up. Do you realise how much that meant to the girl? She had the biggest smile on her face.
She is my idol, and this is why.
Daniel, aged 12. He absolutely loves Jessie J. Guess what? He had Leukaemia. He had just under one month to live. Not only did Jessie invite him to a gig, she got him to come on stage and sing Laserlight with her. She didn’t say that she was too good to sing it alongside a boy, she sang it with him and that was his one dream. He smiled. She didn’t get any money for that.
She is my idol, and this is why.
On my twitter, a heartbeat told me about how her Grandad died. He died in a lot of pain, unable to talk or move. She played him Stand Up by Jessie J. Do you know what? He smiled. Jessie J’s music made him smile. She makes people of all ages happy and do you know what? That’s what music is about. He died listening to Jessie 3 minutes after that. That made this heartbeat happy. R.I.P.
Please don’t tell me she isn’t inspiring. Please don’t tell me she’s big headed.
“I’m not perfect, and I don’t claim to be. I don’t surround myself with “yes” people. I won’t surround myself with people that tell me I am perfect. I am 24 and sometimes I make mistakes. Sometimes I say the wrong things. But remember…Life isn’t about winning. Its about what you learn and how you can grow, and one thing I’ve learnt is that the journey is way more important than where you end up. - Listen, I am not gay, I’m not straight. I’m not bisexual. I won’t label myself. If I like a girl, I like a girl. If I like a boy I like a boy. Love doesn’t choose a boy or a girl. Whatever your culture, your religion, your sexuality. You can live your life how you want to live it and feel comfortable how you are.”
